Good Work’s Program

The Good Work’s program is designed to help the elderly preserve their independence and stay in their homes. The program is composed of multiple facets that serve the elderly in Northwest Tarrant County. Below are the four facets that make up the Good Work’s program.

Financial Assistance

Provides funds to assist our elderly with their financial obligations and their financial needs. For example, we provide funds for things like:

  • Utility bills
  • Medical supplies
  • Medication
  • Fans
  • Space Heater
  • Clothing
  • Furniture
  • Hygiene Items

Senior Supplemental Groceries

Provides monthly supplemental groceries for low-income seniors that last for one or two weeks. The groceries are distributed from NICA, but can also be delivered to the homes of seniors that do not have the means of transportation.

God’s Hands Home Repairs

Provides funds to assist our seniors with minor home repairs and/or yardwork.

Social Services

Provides our seniors with case management, application assistance,  home visits, and monthly reassurance phone calls. NICA also advocates for seniors so that they know their voice matters.
